Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Sean Brannigan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Karva Jorgos (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Jorgos is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Schnappi Das Kleine Krokodil . I don't know about you partner, but I'm pumped for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Sean Brannigan!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 9 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Karva Jorgos!
The judges for this bout are Sosuke Kotani, Yukihiro Shimada and Yuuki Gou.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jorgos avoids the head kick by Brannigan.
Brannigan misses with a left hand
letting Jorgos counter with a right hand.

Brannigan has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Jorgos finds it's way round the side to connect with Brannigan's head.
Brannigan tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Jorgos lands with a shot to the body.
Brannigan throws a leg kick that misses.
Sean Brannigan seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Jorgos misses with a takedown
and Brannigan counters with a three punch combo that has Jorgos backing up. Jorgos nods at Brannigan to acknowledge the strikes.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Jorgos is defended easily by Brannigan.
Brannigan tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.

Brannigan throws a leg kick but he was too far away and it doesn't land.
Brannigan stuffs the takedown attempt from Jorgos. Jorgos gets slowly back to his feet.
Sean Brannigan has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Karva Jorgos.

and Brannigan counters with a low kick, right behind Jorgos 's knee.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.

Brannigan uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Jorgos.
Brannigan keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Jorgos looks to land a right hand but Brannigan moved out of range.
Jorgos takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.

Jorgos closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Brannigan to the mat! Brannigan manages to get full guard.
Jorgos looking to sit in guard and control but Brannigan gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.
Brannigan has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.

Jorgos is looking for a triangle but Brannigan pushes his legs off easily.

Jorgos is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Brannigan defends well.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.

Jorgos has his foot on Brannigan's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Brannigan works his way back into a safe position though.
Jorgos is trying to hold Brannigan in close to prevent damage but Brannigan has managed to pass into half guard.
Brannigan seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Jorgos does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

and Jorgos makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.

Brannigan thows a leg kick but Jorgos checks it
and Jorgos cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.

and Jorgos counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.

Brannigan swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Jorgos throws a body punch but Brannigan moves out of range.

and Jorgos decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Brannigan's guard.

Brannigan seems keen to control Jorgos's posture.

The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
Brannigan misses with a head kick.

Brannigan moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross.

A momentary lapse in concentration from Brannigan enables Jorgos to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Brannigan manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.
Jorgos advances to half guard.
Jorgos is pressing down on Brannigan's thigh, looking to free his foot. Brannigan is holding on for now.

Jorgos is looking for a kimura but Brannigan is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Jorgos to get the leverage.
Well, if Jorgos is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.

Brannigan wants to control but Jorgos is keeping busy and won't allow it.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Jorgos is trying to control the action in half guard but Brannigan is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.

The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Karva Jorgos showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round!

Brannigan fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Jorgos has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.

enabling Brannigan to counter with a crisp jab.
Jorgos rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Brannigan moves out of range and avoids them all easily.

and Brannigan counters with an inside leg kick.
Brannigan throws a hook but Jorgos avoids it easily.

Brannigan buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
Jorgos shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Brannigan as he avoids it easily.
Sean Brannigan has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Karva Jorgos.

Jorgos bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
Jorgos takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
Brannigan prevents Jorgos from improving position.
Jorgos wants to take a breather but Brannigan manages to regain guard - a lesson learnt for Jorgos.

Jorgos drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Brannigan manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Jorgos has Brannigan in his guard.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Brannigan stands up from Jorgos's guard - Brannigan perhaps looking for a knockout.
Jorgos jabbing away but nothing is landing.

And that's the end of the fight!
Sean Brannigan showed his dominance in that final round.
Well Jorgos has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
