Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Hektor Bombard (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Rick Ross (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Bombard comes to the cage accompanied by Bonaparte - Boycott Everything . Hektor Bombard has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 8 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Hektor Bombard!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 7 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Rick Ross!
The judges for this bout are Arvi Lind, Ben Zyskovitsi and Tarja Halkonen.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bombard closes the distance but Ross moves to the side
and Ross counters with a straight right hand.
Bombard swings for the body but Ross moves out of range.
Bombard moves out of range of the body kick.
Ross throws an ugly left hook that misses

and Bombard moves into the clinch.
Ross is trying to break the clinch but Bombard has him pressed against the cage.
Bombard misses with a hook to the ribs.

An uppercut on the inside fails to land for Bombard.
Bombard misses with a short punch on the inside.
Bombard misses the knee to the body. Nice hip positioning from Ross.
Bombard doesn't land with the attempted body shot.

Bombard tries a shoulder strike but it doesn't do any damage.

Ross is looking to break free of the clinch but Bombard has double underhooks.

Ross has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate.

Bombard swings wildly with an uppercut but Ross uses good head movement to avoid it.
Bombard lands a short shot on the inside that snaps the head of Ross backwards.
Bombard prevents Ross from breaking the clinch.
Ross wants to break the clinch but can't.
Bombard misses with a punch on the inside.

Ross jumps guard.
Bombard wants to stand but Ross is controlling his posture from full guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Ross looking to hit a scissor sweep but Bombard is one step ahead there.
Ross has a closed guard, preventing Bombard from standing up.
Ross wants to sweep but no luck.
Bombard would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

and Ross connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Bombard tries to close the distance and clinch up but Ross swats him away and circles back towards the center.

Ross tries a low kick but Bombard avoids it.

and Ross counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Bombard!

Bombard is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.

Ross jumps to side control looking for an arm triangle but Bombard manages to avoid the submission attempt.
Ross is looking to take a break and control but Bombard is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Bombard might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.

Ross tries to score with some ground and pound. Bombard controls his posture well this time though and the shots don't do any damage.

Ross cracks Bombard with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.

Poor strikes thrown by Ross there. More accuracy and less frantic strikes would help!
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Bombard takes a big shot to the head but keeps on trying to improve his position.
Bombard is in all sorts of trouble here.
Ross throwing shots from mount but they're not landing.
Ross has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

The referee warns Bombard that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.
Bombard knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Ross on the ground.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Bombard avoids a series of strikes thrown by Ross.
Ross fakes a shot to the body and cracks his opponent in the head. Nice ground and pound there!

Ross breaks from Bombard's wrist control and lands an elbow.
Bombard is bucking up trying to escape but Ross cracks him with another couple of good strikes.

Bombard is in a horrible position here. Ross smacks him with another shot as he tries to escape the position.
Rick Ross has got the better of the ground game so far.
Bombard is squirming around, avoiding Ross's attempts to control the action.
Ross postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Bombard looks a forlorn figure.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

Rick Ross showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. This is the final round!

and Ross counters with a single leg into guard. Bombard didn't expect that.
Ross loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.

Bombard kicks Ross off and gets to his feet.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Ross shoots in looking for a takedown but Bombard manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Ross's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
Horrible takedown by Ross or perhaps it was just good defense by Bombard which made him look bad.

Ross attempts a leg kick but it's missed by a good margin.
Ross changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Bombard tries to avoid it but Ross manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Bombard to the ground. Bombard escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Hektor Bombard has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Rick Ross.

and Ross counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Ross is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Bombard.
Bombard slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range.
Ross swings and misses with a shot to the body
and Bombard counters with a nice body shot.
Ross takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
Bombard is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Hektor Bombard.
I think Bombard has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
