Buckler comes to the cage accompanied by Sick of it All - Take The Night Off. Jesse Bjoern Buckler has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mangan checks the leg kick.
Mangan shoots for a double leg takedown but Buckler sprawls well. He's pushed Mangan's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

and Mangan counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Buckler's guard now.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Manganis looking to pass into half guard but Buckler pushes him away with his feet and jumps on top - now Buckler is in guard.

The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Buckler wants to get up but he can't break Mangan's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.

Buckler stands and steps away. Mangan gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.

Mangan throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Buckler tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Mangan is in Buckler's guard.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Mangan accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
Mangan stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Buckler swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Mangan seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.

Matthew Mangan has forced the referee to step in and restart the fight on the feet.
Mangan looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Buckler is fending him off so far but Mangan persists. Nope, Buckler circles away and we're back to standing.

Mangan gets caught by a brutal right hook which buckles his knees! Mangan tries to backpedal with his spaghettilegs but Buckler is headhunting and goes for the kill. A jab and a right hook connect and Mangan buckles badly as his eyes roll back. The referee steps in and saves Mangan!! Mangan is complaining but he was clearly out on his feet. Buckler throws his mouthpiece into the crowd. Mmmm spit-tastic.
