PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Grant Foxworth (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kazimeras Murowski (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Foxworth comes to the cage accompanied by Chiron. Murowski has chosen Sum 41 - Underclass Hero as his entrance music. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Grant Foxworth!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Kazimeras Murowski!
The judges for this bout are Jack Bonds, and Timothy Bukovac.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Murowski is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Foxworth on the wrong end of an overhand right that came out of nowhere.
Foxworth throws an off balance right hand

and Murowski counters with a shoot takedown into half guard.
It looks like Murowski is going to stand back up.
Foxworth has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Murowski is working away from the top position though.
Murowski wants to stand up but Foxworth manages to regain full guard.

Murowski gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent.

Foxworth fails in his attempt to clinch.
Foxworth is breathing heavily.
Murowski checks a leg kick nicely.
Foxworth shoots for a double leg takedown but Murowski sprawls well. He's pushed Foxworth's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Foxworth tries to check the leg kick but that clearly hurt him.
Murowski looks to clinch

and Foxworth counters with a shoot takedown. Murowski fights it but they end up in guard.

Murowski manages to escape and get back to his feet.
Murowski looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Foxworth is fending him off so far but Murowski persists. Nope, Foxworth circles away and we're back to standing.
Murowski fails with an attempt to clinch.
Grant Foxworth seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Murowski swings for the body but Foxworth moves out of range.
Murowski has a takedown stuffed.
Murowski tries a head kick but it misses.

Murowski shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Murowski was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
Foxworth tries to hold on but Murowski postures up.
Foxworth is in a bad position, trying to hold on for dear life but he is really struggling to maintain any sort of control.

Foxworth is looking to improve his position but Murowski isn't that keen on the idea.
Foxworth is working hard here to advance position.
Foxworth tries to lock up and control but Murowski gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Murowski wants to control the pace but Foxworth is squirming around nicely.
Murowski tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Let's hope that Murowski has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.
I looks like Murowski might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

Murowski has closed the distance and engaged Foxworth in a clinch.
Murowski blocks the elbow strike.
Murowski throws a nice elbow but it doesn't land.
Foxworth lands a knee to the body.
Murowski is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though.
Foxworth tries to land knees in the clinch but Murowski avoids the damage to the body.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Murowski has Foxworth pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Foxworth manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.

Foxworth breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Foxworth takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.
Murowski jabs Foxworth right on the nose. Foxworth blinks but takes it well.
Danga de danga de dang - Murowski scores with a four punch combination!

Some wild striking there from Foxworth.
Foxworth misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Murowski scores with a jab to the body.
Foxworth blocks a head kick by Murowski.
Foxworth gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily

and Murowski counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Foxworth's guard now.

Foxworth has his foot on Murowski's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Murowski works his way back into a safe position though.
Murowski wants to stand and escape but instead Foxworth has hit a sweep and he's now on top in guard.

Foxworth looking to sit in guard and control but Murowski gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.
Foxworth has control of Murowski's left arm, preventing Murowski from doing any damage.
Foxworth keeping moving, preventing Murowski from controlling successfully.
Foxworth controls Murowski momentarily but Murowski frees himself.

Foxworth wants to hit a switch here but Murowski passes into full mount! Oh no, disaster for Foxworth there!

My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.
Murowski tries to stand and escape but Foxworth actually recovers to full guard.

Foxworth has his feet on Murowski's hips. He pushes off and gets to his feet. Nice work.
Foxworth pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Foxworth shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
and Murowski counters with a series of strikes. Foxworth will be more careful next time no doubt.
A head kick misses from Murowski.
Murowski throws a quick head kick that skims the top of Foxworth's head.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Kazimeras Murowski showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

and Murowski counters with a nice kick to the body.

Foxworth is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.
Foxworth is wriggling around trying to escape.
Foxworth wants to control but Murowski is having none of it.
Foxworth gets back to half guard.

Foxworth is looking to sinch up a gullotine here but Murowski pulls his head out easily.

Foxworth won't let Murowski get back to his feet... He wants to keep the fight where it is for now.
Grant Foxworth has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!

Kazimeras Murowski comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I've got Murowski winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
