Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Major Graham (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Saku Sammakko (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Sammakko has chosen Saku Sammakko as his entrance music. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 10 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Saku Sammakko!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Blasius, Patrick Alders and Paulsen Ambrosius.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sammakko throws a right hand that misses
and Graham counters with a series of strikes. Sammakko will be more careful next time no doubt.
Graham takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.
Sammakko goes for a spinning back kick but it misses.
Graham misses with an uppercut
and Sammakko counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt.

Graham scores with a sloppy right hand. Sammakko should have avoided that one.
Sammakko slips under a jab.
Sammakko keeps the fight on the outside.

Graham uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Sammakko.
A nice leg kick lands there from Graham.
Sammakko looks to clinch
and Graham counters with a straight right hand.
Graham throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Sammakko wants to clinch up but Graham keeps it at a distance.

Sammakko will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Sammakko on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those.
Sammakko throws a lazy uppercut
and Graham counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body.
Sammakko takes a body punch but keeps moving.
Graham throws the left hand but Sammakko avoids the punch easily.
Graham throws a good cross that connects.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Sammakko ducks under a wild hook from Graham.

Sammakko takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor.

Graham drops Sammakko with a beautiful combination! Sammakko stares up at his opponent, who ushers him back to his feet - Graham is looking for the KO!

Graham throws a leg kick that is checked
and Sammakko counters with a head kick.
Sammakko slips under a jab from Graham.
Graham is really peppering his opponent's head with punches.
Graham stuffs the takedown attempt from Sammakko. Sammakko gets slowly back to his feet.
Major Graham has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Saku Sammakko.
Sammakko uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Graham.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Graham rushes Sammakko and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Major Graham dominated that round.

Sammakko looks to land a right hand but Graham moved out of range.
Graham lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Sammakko at a distance.
Graham misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Sammakko takes one on the chin but keeps coming.

Major Graham is winning the standup battle so far.

The fighters circling - Graham throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Graham throws a poor cross that misses
and Sammakko counters with a one-two to the body.
Graham ducks down and throws a hook to the body.
Ouch! a nice leg kick from Graham, right into the meat.
Sammakko is breathing heavily.
Sammakko walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush.

Graham lands a big head kick that sends Sammakko tumbling to the mat! Graham takes a step backwards and waves Sammakko back to his feet - he wants the finish!
Sammakko is still on wobbly legs! Can Graham finish him?


It looks like Saku Sammakko has been cut.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Graham with a nice looking leg kick. You could hear that one land in a back row.

Graham lands a big right hand that sends Sammakko crashing to the mat! Graham stays standing though and waves Sammakko back to his feet!
Sammakko walks straight into a right hand from Graham - that's dropped him! Graham jumps into mount and starts pounding away - can he finish?! More strikes go undefended and the referee has to dive in to save Sammakko from any more punishment! Sammakko complains about the stoppage but falls over as he tries to stand back up, so it was clearly a good stoppage.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:14 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Punches). Major Graham!
