Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Joze Mesar (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and John Herb (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mesar throws a left and a right that both miss
and Herb counters with a stiff right hand.
Herb dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
Mesar lands a jab.
Herb throws a head kick but Mesar moves out of range.
Mesar looks to land a combination but Herb avoids it well.
Herb tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Mesar showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Herb.
A solid leg kick lands there for Herb.
Herb missing with a left hand there. Mesar was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.
Herb lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Mesar circles away quickly and effectively.
Mesar feints a jab promting Herb to slip. Mesar then demonstrates his capabilities by jabbing again. Herb slips again and ducks right into an uppercut.

It looks like John Herb has been cut.
Mesar waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Herb.
Herb throws a sloppy head kick and Mesar moves out of range easily.
Herb takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming.
Mesar scores with a nice right hand.
Mesar lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Herb circles away quickly and effectively.
Some wild striking there from Mesar.
Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Mesar lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Herb has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Herb and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Mesar feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Herbs jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist!

and Herb counters with a slapping leg kick.
Mesar looks to land a combination. Herb sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots.

Herb is rocked!
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Herb dodges the punch combination from Mesar.
Herb is still on wobbly legs! Can Mesar finish him?
Mesar throws an uppercut from hell that sends Herb clean off his feet! He's out cold! Mesar stands back and admires his work as he thinks about that KO of the night award that is surely being wrapped up for him back stage.
