The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Rua is looking for a kimura but Stolbov is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Rua to get the leverage.

Stolbov is looking to get back to full guard here but Rua has managed to pass to side control instead.

Rua stands up and beckons Stolbov to his feet.

and Rua counters with a nice uppercut.

Rua changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Stolbov looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.

Rua has worked his way into a potential kimura here. Stolbov is trying to get out of the position but his squirming has just got him deeper into trouble. Rua yanks on the arm and Stolbov is forced to tap due to a very painful looking submission! Nice work by Rua.
