Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Max Jefferson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Alpo Suhonen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Jefferson comes into the arena with Cryptopsy - Cold Hate, Warm Blood blaring out of the sound system. Suhonen has chosen Ihanaa leijonat, ihanaa! as his entrance music. The key to victory for Max Jefferson has got to be keeping the fight on the feet.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Jefferson drives through and clinches with Suhonen against the cage.
Jefferson is trying to slow down the pace of the fight but Suhonen is keeping busy.
Suhonen throws an elbow but it misses.
Some stalling of biblical proportions here from Jefferson.
Suhonen on the defensive, avoiding the knees to the body.

Jefferson pulls guard.
Suhonen trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat.
Suhonen with a flurry of punches that miss.
Jefferson knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Suhonen on the ground.
Suhonen content to stall in guard here.
Suhonen in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Suhonen trying to control the position from guard on top but Jefferson is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Suhonen missing there with some ground and pound from the guard.
Suhonen advances position into side control!
Suhonen remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while.
Jefferson might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
Suhonen throws an elbow but Jefferson slips to the side and avoids it well.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

Suhonen cracks Jefferson with a big right hand but Jefferson just smiles back at him and invites him to have another go.
Suhonen wants to control for a moment but Jefferson uses the opportunity to move back to half guard.
Suhonen throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage.
Suhonen winds up and cracks Jefferson with a swinging punch to the side of the head.
Suhonen misses with a head shot. Jefferson uses the momentum to regain guard.

Jefferson utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.

Suhonen drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Jefferson dives on top into guard.
Suhonen pulls Jefferson in close to prevent any damage.

Jefferson has a momentary lapse of concentration, allowing Suhonen to throw up a leg and lock on what appears to be a pretty tight triangle! Jefferson is fighting it off but it's all too little too late - Suhonen pulls down on the head and he's put Jefferson to sleep! This one is all over!
