PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Rodrigo Gorddo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Terry The Pain Train (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Gorddo comes into the arena with blitzkrieg bop blaring out of the sound system. We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

It looks like Terry The Pain Train has been cut.

It looks like The Pain Train might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it.

Gorddo makes his way to full guard, as The Pain Train worked for a kimura.
The Pain Train seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.

Gorddo moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body.
Gorddo tries to close the distance and clinch up but The Pain Train swats him away and circles back towards the center.

The Pain Train throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Gorddo was covering up waiting for the punch and The Pain Train finishes the takedown easily into guard.

Gorddo misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.

The Pain Train shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than The Pain Train was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!

Gorddo's corner are shouting for him to stand up but that's bad cornering - how is he meant to stand up when he's mounted? He should be looking to improve his position on the ground before trying to stand back up.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Let's hope that The Pain Train has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.
