Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Erik Magnusson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kyle Powers (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Magnusson kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is The Animal by Disturbed. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 2 - 0, fighting out of New York, Kyle Powers!
The judges for this bout are John Roberts, John Kavanagh and Alyssa Summers.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Magnusson digs a good hook to Powers's body.

We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
Powers is trying to control the action in half guard but Magnusson is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Powers sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Magnusson's guard.

Powers is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Magnusson doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Powers.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
