Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Jose Rizal!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rizal shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says McGraw as he avoids it easily.
Rizal closes this distance looking for a takedown but McGraw circles away.
Rizal fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
Roy McGraw has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jose Rizal.
McGraw stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and McGraw wants it to stay on the feet.
Rizal thows a leg kick but McGraw checks it
and Rizal takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
McGraw defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Rizal.
McGraw connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there.
Rizal fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
McGraw throws a head kick that misses.
Rizal takes a kick to the side of the head.
Rizal tries for a takedown but McGraw circles away easily
and McGraw counters with an inside leg kick.

Rizal avoids the head kick by McGraw.
Jose Rizal seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Rizal tries to clinch up
and McGraw counters with a slapping leg kick.
Rizal shoots in for a takedown but McGraw shows good takedown defense.
Rizal looks gassed!
McGraw lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh.
Rizal will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
McGraw tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
McGraw pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Rizal blocks a head kick by McGraw.
McGraw explodes with a nice body kick and back out of range. Nice work.
Rizal has a nice red mark on his side after a thudding body kick by McGraw.
McGraw throws a head kick that Rizal semi-blocks.
Rizal avoids the head kick by McGraw.
Rizal throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around McGraw's waist but McGraw gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Rizal off to one side.
Rizal fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Rizal chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before McGraw can pounce on him.

A thudding body kick lands there by McGraw!
McGraw throws a nice outside leg kick.
McGraw lands a leg kick and bounces back out of range.
Rizal avoids the head kick by McGraw.
McGraw connects with an inside leg kick.
McGraw throws a head kick that misses.
Rizal takes a kick to the side of the head.
Roy McGraw is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Good leg kick by McGraw there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.
Rizal shoots in for a takedown but McGraw shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.

McGraw throws a sloppy head kick and Rizal moves out of range easily.
McGraw lands with a thumping leg kick.
McGraw scores with a leg kick.
Rizal blocks a head kick by McGraw.
Rizal shoots in looking for a takedown but McGraw manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Rizal's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
Rizal's leg has a nasty welt from taking a succession of leg kicks. That must be slowing him down.
McGraw with a nice looking leg kick. You could hear that one land in a back row.
McGraw lands a head kick. Rizal smiles back at him and beckons him forward.
An inside leg kick lands from McGraw.
McGraw scores with a head kick.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Roy McGraw dominated that round.
Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin!


McGraw scores with a head kick. Rizal tried to block it but didn't get his arm up in time.
Rizal wants to clinch
and McGraw counters with a head kick. That will keep Rizal thinking before he tries any more sloppy attacks!
McGraw misses with a head kick.
McGraw throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

McGraw tries to sprawl but Rizal drives through with a takedown into half guard.

Rizal looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
Rizal is breathing heavily.

Rizal seems to be looking for submissions.
McGraw on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if McGraw tries to get out of the position.

McGraw is trying to get back to full guard.
Rizal tries to pass to full mount but McGraw defends it.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
McGraw keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

Rizal is trying for a kimura here. McGraw looks like he's in a lot of pain... and he's tapping out! Rizal wins by kimura!
