Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Adam Ferrante (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dirk Pitt (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Pitt with a nice looking leg kick. You could hear that one land in a back row.
Ferrante loads up on a big right hand but Pitt slips the punch.
Pitt throws a quick inside leg kick.

Ferrante moves into the clinch.
Pitt misses with an elbow strike.
Ferrante drops down looking for an ankle pick but Pitt pulls his leg out and moves away.
Ferrante throws out a token jab with nothing on it.

The fight moves into the clinch position.

Ferrante pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.

Ferrante shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Ferrante showed some decent athleticism there.
Ferrante prevents Pitt from standing back up.

Ferrante postures up and decides to stand up, from the half guard. The ref calls for Pitt to stand up.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Pitt lands with a slapping head kick.
A nice leg kick lands there from Pitt.
Pitt is looking to clinch but Ferrante is avoiding it.
Ferrante gets off balance looking for a body kick
and Pitt counters with an outside leg kick.

Ferrante clinches up against the cage.
Pitt throws an elbow but it's blocked.

Ferrante manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back.
Pitt trying to stand up but can't free himself from Ferrante's guard.

Ferrante manages to escape and get back to his feet.
Ferrante throws a front kick aimed at Pitt's knee but Pitt avoids it well.
A low kick from Pitt is predictable there

and Ferrante counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Ferrante.

This has been an exciting period of action!
Ferrante tries to free his leg and advance position but Pitt is retaining full guard.

Ferrante gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent.

Ferrante manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Pitt on his heels. He'll look to pass Pitt's guard now, I'm sure.

Ferrante thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
Ferrante stands and throws Pitt's legs to the side, diving into side control.
Ferrante controlling the position from side mount.

Ferrante has knee on belly and now moves to full mount! Trouble for Pitt!

Ferrante is controlling this nicely and is looking to make no mistakes. Pitt is trying to wiggle out of this horrible position. Pitt flips to his side and attempts to get a leg in for half guard. Ferrante anticipates the leg and manages to get behind Pitt and secures both hooks! This could be bad! Ferrante slips an arm under Pitt chin and tries to position for a rear naked choke. Ferrante has worked the choke in now and it looks tight. Ferrante is squeezing on Pitt like an anaconda would it's prey. Pitt fails to tap and has fallen unconscious! We've got ourselves a winner by way of a rear naked choke!
