Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Aiden Rivers (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Cat Litter (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Rivers's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, hed(pe)- Bartender. Cat Litter has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 12 - 5 - 1, fighting out of Hilo, Aiden Rivers!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 9 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Cat Litter!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rivers displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Litter throws out the jab.
Good work by Rivers as he checks the leg kick.
Litter showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Rivers.

Litter gets a takedown into half guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Rivers wants to improve his position but Litter is controlling well.
Litter is keen to just control but Rivers is a slippery customer.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Litter wants to free his trapped foot but Rivers is holding on for dear life with his legs.
Well, if Litter is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.
The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.

Litter looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding.

The ref calls for a clean break and stands the fighters back up. Cat Litter wasn't active enough on the ground.
Litter moves away from the strike by Rivers.
A jab from Litter misses.
Rivers will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Rivers takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.
Litter misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
A swing and a miss from Rivers.
Rivers fails with the takedown
and Litter counters with a straight punch to the midsection.

Litter shoots in and bounces Rivers off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.
Litter throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent.

Rivers preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage.
Rivers looking to control.
Litter wants to control from the top but Rivers keeps moving.
Litter throwing strikes but missing.
Rivers looking to sweep here. No luck so far.
Litter trying to control but Rivers is working from the bottom.
We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.

Litter has gone for a leg lock! Rivers slips out almost immediately though and dives into Litter's guard.

Rivers is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.

Litter is looking for a triangle but Rivers pushes his legs off easily.
Rivers is pushing down on Litter's leg trying to pass to half guard. Litter is fighting to maintain full guard but Rivers has managed to sneak the leg through.
Rivers throwing shots but Litter is blocking nicely.
Rivers is nestled in close to Litter, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.

Litter is refusing to be controlled, as Rivers sits in half guard.

Litter is staying active underneath Rivers, who seems content to just control the action from this position.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

Rivers is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Litter defends it well.

Cat Litter dominated that round.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.


Litter tries for a takedown but Rivers circles away easily
and Litter takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Litter misses with a right hand
and Rivers counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body.
Rivers is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Litter.
Cat Litter seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
A cross from Rivers lands.
Rivers throws a nice looking combination but Litter bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Litter works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance.
Rivers blocks a jab.

Rivers changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Litter looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.

Rivers is looking for a kimura. It's pretty deep but Litter still has the half guard so he's probably OK. Oh, Litter has exploded into a beautiful escape there and after a quick scramble, he's ended up in side control on top! Nice work!
The referee asks Litter politely if he wouldn't mind getting on with it and actually doing something. Litter prefers to stall for the moment though.

Rivers sneaks back into half guard.
Rivers slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work.
Litter looking to sit in guard and control but Rivers gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.

Litter working for submissions but it's allowed Rivers to get to half guard.

Rivers missing with some ground and pound from the half guard.
Litter has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Rivers is working away from the top position though.
Litter wants to get back to full guard.

Litter with the active half guard here but Rivers passes nicely into side control.

Rivers is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Litter has escaped the position, nice work there.

Rivers working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it.
Rivers throwing strikes but Litter manages to buck up and roll into a nice reversal - now he's on top in side control!
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Litter wants to control for a moment but Rivers uses the opportunity to move back to half guard.
Litter wants to lay and pray for a moment but Rivers keeps working.
Litter thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Rivers's head.
Litter trying to control the action but Rivers is working from the bottom.
The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Litter lands a nice short elbow.
Litter seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Rivers does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
Litter wants to pass the guard but Rivers is defending well.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Aiden Rivers dominated that second round.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. Let's hear some noise people - this is the final round!


Litter jabs Rivers right on the nose. Rivers blinks but takes it well.
Rivers moves out of range as Litter strikes.
Rivers staying out of range there.
Rivers swings widly with a right hand
and Rivers takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.

so Litter counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.
Litter connects with a couple of short punches.
Litter must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
Litter wants to pass the guard but Rivers is keeping the position.
Litter is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.
Litter throwing strikes but missing.
Litter throws a big right hand that misses.

Rivers keeping moving, preventing Litter from controlling successfully.
Rivers has control of Litter's left arm, preventing Litter from doing any damage.
Litter wants to control from the top but Rivers keeps moving.
The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.
Litter slips effortlessly into side control - very nice.
Litter throws a knee to the body but it doesn't do much damage.
Litter in side control, trying to ground and pound but not landing this time.
Rivers seems a little lost for a moment, as Litter dominates the positioning.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Rivers is not in a great position here, taking some shots.
Rivers prevents Litter from improving position.
Rivers takes a big shot right to the temple there but he's taken it well.
Rivers is looking for a sweep.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.
Litter is looking to take a break and control but Rivers is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Litter controlling from side mount.
The ground and pound from Litter seems to be hitting the mat more than his opponent.

Litter throws an elbow but Rivers slips to the side and avoids it well.
Rivers manages to land a sweep and he's now on top! Lovely Jiu Jitsu!

Rivers postures up in Litter's guard and throws a big left but Litter blocks it.
Rivers wants to control from the top but Litter keeps moving.
Cat Litter has got the better of the ground game so far.
Litter has Rivers pulled in close to control his posture.
Litter wants to sweep here but Rivers controlling him for the moment.

And that's the end of the fight!
Cat Litter comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Litter has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
