The judges for this bout are Damien Edna, Donatello Bradman and Summer Carpenter.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sarcoma shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Rutger shoots in for a takedown and gets it.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Rutger drops back looking for a leg! Sarcoma is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Sarcoma manages to kick Rutger off! Rutger jumps back into Sarcoma's guard.
Sarcoma really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Rutger works over Sarcoma with some ground and pound from guard.
Sarcoma had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Rutger is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Sarcoma Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Rutger's back instead.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Sarcoma is breathing heavily.
Rutger rolls and manages to get back to half guard. Nicely done.
Rutger misses with some strikes from the bottom.
Sarcoma looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Rutger slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work.

Sarcoma drops back, looking for a kneebar! Rutger looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Rutger looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Rutger!
Rutger wants to control but Sarcoma is keeping him busy.
Rutger tries to cartwheel into mount but he doesn't manage it.

Sarcoma has momentary wrist control but Rutger slips an elbow through the middle.
Rutger slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.
Sarcoma looking to try and escape his hips here, looking for a submission. It looks like he's going for a triangle but Rutger is defending well. Sarcoma quickly switches to an armbar and extends the arm! Rutger has no choice but to tap, to a very quick submission! Wow, that was lightning fast! Sarcoma celebrates on the cage, with the crowd.
