Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Jack Fadden (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kron Gracie (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Fadden might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to From Hell by Faces Of Mars. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gracie misses with a takedown attempt

so Fadden counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.
Gracie throws a couple of weedy looking strikes off his back.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.


Fadden throws an overhand right that lands on Gracie's shoulder, as Gracie tries to avoid the shot.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.

Gracie shoots in and gets a takedown into Fadden's guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Gracie drops back, looking for a kneebar! Fadden looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Fadden looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Fadden!

Fadden decides to stand up, so the ref orders Gracie to his feet.
That kick from Fadden tenderised Gracie's leg. Gracie is trying to keep his angry face on.
Fadden feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Gracie's calf.
Fadden tries to clinch up but Gracie circles away and keeps his distance.
Jack Fadden is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Jab, cross, leg kick. Nice combination by Fadden!
Fadden scores with a sloppy right hand. Gracie should have avoided that one.
Gracie shoots in for a takedown but Fadden shows good takedown defense.

That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business. Let's get this one finished - here comes the final round!



Fadden closes the distance and pushes Gracie back into the cage.
Gracie drops down for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Gracie has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Fadden avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch.

Fadden escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Gracie shoots in looking for a takedown but Fadden manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Gracie's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
Jack Fadden has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Kron Gracie.

Fadden stalling away here and it's allowed Gracie to slip out his trapped foot and regain full guard.

Gracie is trying to control but Fadden manages to pass to mount!
Gracie wants to hold on but Fadden pushes him away.

Fadden avoids the attempt from Gracie to control.
Fadden sends his fist crashing into the mat - the crowd let out a collective ooooooh. Let's hope he's not broken it!
Kron Gracie has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.

Fadden goes for an armbar but he's fallen flat on his backside there and now Gracie is on top in guard.
Fadden is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Gracie gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent.

Gracie is looking for a sweep. Fadden is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
