Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Kevin Khasm (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Bill Goldberg (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Khasm comes to the cage accompanied by Kickstart My Heart. Goldberg has chosen GOLDBERG as his entrance music. Bill Goldberg has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 11 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Bill Goldberg!
The judges for this bout are , Timothy Bukovac and Frank Antenori.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Khasm throws a decent looking leg kick but it doesn't land clean.
Goldberg thuds his right hand into Khasm's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters.


It looks like Kevin Khasm has been cut.

Goldberg tries to sprawl but Khasm drives through with a takedown into half guard.

Khasm is trying to work for a kimura but Goldberg is defending well.

Khasm working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that.
Goldberg is looking to improve his position.

Goldberg wants to stand up but Khasm is controlling him.
Khasm loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.
Khasm tries to free his leg and advance position but Goldberg is retaining full guard.

Khasm keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Goldberg's head.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Khasm accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
Goldberg is adopting a defensive guard.

Khasm postures up and lands a big shot to Goldberg's brow.
Khasm has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Khasm stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Goldberg swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Goldberg is edging up against the cage. He's using the cage to get back to his feet. Nice work there - the fighters are clinched.
The fighters are pressed against the cage, as the pace of the fight slows.

Goldberg prevents a takedown attempt there.
Khasm has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Goldberg avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch.

Goldberg jumps into guard, dragging Khasm to the mat.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Khasm lands a couple of digs.
Goldberg is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
Goldberg takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.

Goldberg prevents Khasm from improving his position.
Goldberg seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Khasm does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
Goldberg is in a good position here but he's just trying to control... And he's not even managing to do that successfully.
Khasm keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound.

The ref stands the fighters back up. Bill Goldberg was stalling too much, according to the referee.
Goldberg looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Goldberg shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Khasm as he avoids it easily.
Goldberg stuffs the takedown attempt from Khasm. Khasm gets slowly back to his feet.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Kevin Khasm. That's going to take a lot out of him.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Kevin Khasm will probably get the nod.

Goldberg shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Khasm but Khasm pushes him off and we're back to square one.

The referee warns Goldberg that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Goldberg tries to hold on but Khasm postures up.
Khasm pausing momentarily but resumes with a couple of decent strikes that do a bit of damage.
Goldberg is trying desperately to improve position.
Khasm lands a big elbow.
Khasm lands a shot to the body, followed up by a shot to the exposed head of his trapped opponent.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Goldberg is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.
Khasm is in the full mount, landing strikes.


Goldberg is rocked!
Khasm looking to finish here with some ground and pound. He lands one big shot that has Goldberg covering up... and two more big strikes land, forcing the referee to step in and put and end to proceedings! This fight is all over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:30 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Kevin Khasm!
