PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Antonio Gracio (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Sandy Randy (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Randy really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Gracio. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

A bit of a lull in the action. I'm sure it will pick up again soon... even if the ref has to physically pick them up and put them back on their feet.

Gracio decides to stand back up. Gracio steps back and let's Randy get back to his feet.

Randy rushes Gracio and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
Randy tries to stall but Gracio uses the opportunity to gain a better position.

and Gracio counters with a single leg into guard. Randy didn't expect that.

Gracio stands up and waves to Randy to follow him.

Gracio breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.

Gracio postures up and lands a big shot to Randy's brow.

Randy wants to stand and escape but Gracio is having none of it.

Gracio decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Randy, up you get!

Gracio shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Randy napping and manages to drive through into side control!

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Gracio is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.
Randy is looking to stand up but Gracio isn't so interested in that idea.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Gracio accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.

Gracio is working for what looks like an arm triangle here. Randy is trying to escape and Gracio transitions quickly into an armbar! He's slapped it on tight and Randy is forced to tap! Nice work there by Gracio! Very nice indeed!
