The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Dupuis misses with a takedown attempt
and Rotten counters with a stiff right hand.

Rotten tries to sprawl but Dupuis drives through with a takedown into half guard.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Rotten sneaks a leg under to get back to half guard.
Dupuis wants to free his trapped foot but Rotten is holding on for dear life with his legs.
Dupuis is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.

A close round but Garry Dupuis will probably get the nod.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

Dupuis lands a jab, followed by a cross and another cross, as Rotten backs up against the cage.

Rotten throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Dupuis tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Rotten is in Dupuis's guard.
Dupuis is looking to stand up but Rotten isn't so interested in that idea.
Rotten throws a big right hand that misses.

Dupuis escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Rotten gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Rotten drops back looking for a submission - "I'm sorry sir, but I'm gunna break your leg" says Rotten as he cranks on the unfortunate limb! Dupuis screams and taps out before any major damage is done! Don't mess with Rotten! Nice submission victory there!
