The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hazlehurst has Smith up against the cage in a clinch.
Smith throws a hook to the body. More of an arm punch but it's all scoring with the judges.
Smith lands with a short head shot on the inside.
Smith takes an elbow to the temple.
Smith gets underhooks to prevent Hazlehurst's takedown attempt.
Hazlehurst tries to pull guard but Smith holds him up against the cage and eventually Hazlehurst drops back down to his feet.
Smith pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Hazlehurst clinches up with Smith and pushes him back against the cage.
Hazlehurst managing to block the knees to the body from Smith.
Smith scores with a knee to the head.
It looks like Dan Hazlehurst has been cut.
Hazlehurst wants a takedown but no success here.

Smith breaks the clinch.
Hazlehurst tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. Smith manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Smith connects with a left and a right that sees a clearly hurt Hazlehurst covering up! Smith comes in with a big uppercut and Hazlehurst goes doooown! He's slumped up against the cage, eyes staring blankly into space.
