Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Russel Ebert (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Adam West (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Ebert comes to the cage accompanied by Mean Street - Van Halen. West comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Batman TV Show Theme Song kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! On his way into the cage it seems that Russel Ebert has been attacked by a crazed fan! It looks like it might have been the just bleed guy! Luckily Russel Ebert seems to be OK! I thought that lunatic was in prison!?

With a record of 7 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Adam West!
The judges for this bout are James Ackerman, Colin Fotheringham and Daniel Bishop.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
West slips a jab and a cross from Ebert.
Ebert tries to bum rush West with a series of wild strikes but West uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Ebert misses with a hook to the body
and West counters with an outside leg kick.

Ebert drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.
Ebert throws a strike but West rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.
West trying to stand up but can't free himself from Ebert's guard.
Ebert has a closed guard, preventing anything of note from happening. Perhaps he's looking to stall.
Ebert keeping moving, preventing West from controlling successfully.

Ebert tries to land a sweep but no joy.

We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.

The ref stands the fighters back up, due to lack of action by Adam West.

Ebert feints a jab promting West to slip. Ebert then demonstrates his capabilities by jabbing again. West slips again and ducks right into an uppercut.
Russel Ebert seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

A looping hook to the body misses from West. Ebert does a little dance to reset his feet.

and West counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.

Ebert throws a right hand that misses
and West counters with an outside leg kick.
Ebert with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling West to score with a decent uppercut.
West fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Ebert.
Ebert needs to keep his hands up - West had a free shot at his head there.

West is refusing to be controlled, as Ebert sits in half guard.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Ebert loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.
Ebert throws a strike but West rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.

Ebert is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. West is aware though and is defending well.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Ebert has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but West can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

West takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.
West tries to land a front kick but Ebert steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed.

and West counters with a straight right hand.
West darts in and out, connecting with a jab.

A head kick from West lands but Ebert takes it in his stride.
Ouch! a nice leg kick from West, right into the meat.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Ebert is hobbling a little on that front leg after taking quite a few leg kicks so far in this fight.

West throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Ebert lands with a nice body punch.
Donk. Ebert catches West right on the button with a cross.

and West counters with a low kick, right behind Ebert 's knee.
Ebert takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh.
West stuns Ebert with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range.
That kick from West tenderised Ebert's leg. Ebert is trying to keep his angry face on.
Ebert takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch.
West thumps Ebert with a low kick.
Ebert takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it.
West scores with a sloppy right hand. Ebert should have avoided that one.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
West doesn't manage to clinch there - Ebert circles away.

Ebert on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those.
Ebert ducks right into an uppercut from West.
Ebert misses with a left hand
and West counters with a body kick that brings a smile to the face of both fighters.
Adam West is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

The fighters circle momentarily. West darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.
A decent looking cross lands there for West.

Ebert chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before West can pounce on him.
Ebert drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles.

and West counters with a straight punch to the midsection.
West lands a jab.
Adam West seems to be getting the better of the standup.
West tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. Ebert manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.

Ebert takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.

West thows a body kick. Ebert tries to catch it but that hurt him.

West throws a leg kick which misses Ebert's front leg but catches the back leg as Ebert tries to avoid it.
West connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe.
West connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there.
West swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by Ebert.
West has been the more effective fighter overall so far.
Nice shot lands for West.


Ebert is rocked!
Ebert drops his hands momentarily. West doesn't need a second invitation, landing a shot to the temple. Ebert staggers and falls to the mat and the ref dives in to save him from any more punishment. Ebert doesn't seem happy with the stoppage but he was done.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:29 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Adam West!
