Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Dejong Brong (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Wilson Waters (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Brong kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Allallalallalong. Wilson Waters has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 8 - 5 - 0, fighting out of London, Wilson Waters!
The judges for this bout are James Ackerman, Paul Tew and James Atkins.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Brong tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.

Waters closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Waters lands in his opponent's guard.
Waters pushing down on Brong's thigh, trying to pass to half guard. He's managed it... Nice work.
Still in half guard, Waters seems content to control.

Brong is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Waters scores with a couple of nice shots.

Waters wants to free his trapped foot but Brong is holding on for dear life with his legs.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Brong wants to control but Waters is having none of it.
Oh Brong is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!

Brong sneaks a leg back under and regains half guard and is working straight away to try and get back to guard. He hasn't managed just yet though.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Brong wants to get back to full guard.
The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Waters connects with a nice short shot to Brong's temple.
Waters is just content to waste time from the top position. Brong takes advantage of the situation and regains full guard.
Waters working from the guard for now, landing some ground and pound.

Brong escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Waters gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Brong is breathing heavily.
Brong has momentary wrist control but Waters slips an elbow through the middle.
Brong keeping moving, preventing Waters from controlling successfully.
Waters cracks Brong with a solid left hand.

Waters landing with the ground and pound.

Waters with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal.
Waters working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Brong's head.

Waters got a little sloppy there for a moment and Brong has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Waters has managed to get both his arms back between Brong's legs - danger averted.
Waters must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.

Brong can't keep his opponent in guard - Waters advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount.
Brong is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.

Waters moves into full mount! Brong won't be happy about that!
BOOM! Waters connects with a massive shot to the dome!

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Waters pausing momentarily but resumes with a couple of decent strikes that do a bit of damage.
Brong takes a big shot to the dome and his eyes have rolled back in his head! Waters's killer instinct has kicked in as he finishes the fight with more strikes. Impressive finish.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:26 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Wilson Waters!
