The judges for this bout are Donald Grub, Daniel Bishop and Chris Edwards.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Patrick drives through with a takedown into guard.
The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.
Saxon not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Saxon preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage.
Saxon wants to sweep but no luck.
Patrick got a little sloppy there for a moment and Saxon has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Patrick has managed to get both his arms back between Saxon's legs - danger averted.
Saxon avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.
Patrick throws a big right hand that misses.
Patrick being controlled here momentarily.
Saxon is looking for a triangle but Patrick pushes his legs off easily.
Patrick is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.
Saxon is trying to keep Patrick in close.

Patrick drops back looking for a leg! Saxon is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Saxon manages to kick Patrick off! Patrick jumps back into Saxon's guard.
Patrick drops back, looking for a kneebar! Saxon looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Saxon looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Saxon!
Saxon cracks Patrick with a big elbow.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Saxon trying to control the action but Patrick is working from the bottom.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
A big shot lands for Saxon! That's hurt Patrick! Will he recover? Saxon fires away with more strikes and the referee has to step in to stop the fight!
