The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Haimovich tries to grapple but his opponent circles
and Gonzo counters with a stiff right hand.
Gonzo sizes up Haimovich with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle.
Zeev Haimovich seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Gonzo rushes Haimovich and presses him up against the cage.
Haimovich tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.
Gonzo lands a short shot on the inside that snaps the head of Haimovich backwards.
Haimovich goes for a takedown in the clinch but Gonzo prevents it.
Haimovich is trying to force a seperation but Gonzo has the dominant position.
Haimovich fails to pull the fight into his guard.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Zeev Haimovich. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Gonzo throws a blind hook that connects with the side of Haimovichs head.

Oh Haimovich is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
A left hand lands to the body for Gonzo.
Gonzo dips a shoulder and cracks Haimovich with a mighty uppercut! Haimovich falls back against the cage and Gonzo unloads with a barrage of strikes! Haimovich is completely out with his eyes open, only supported by the cage! Save him ref! Eventually the ref decides to do his job and jumps in - Gonzo screams abuse at the incompetent official before going over to celebrate with his corner. Brutal stuff!
