Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Sean Corvia (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Bradock Lao (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Corvia comes to the cage accompanied by Al Kapone - You ain't stoppin me. The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Sean Corvia!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Bradock Lao!
The judges for this bout are Cecil Peabody, Gwen Towbar and Daniel Franklin.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Corvia tries to score a power double leg takedown but Lao sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Corvia somewhat.
Lao has his takedown stuffed

and Corvia counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Lao's guard now.
Corvia controls from within his opponent's guard.
Corvia trying to control but Lao is working from the bottom.
Lao keeping full guard, as Corvia tries to pass.
Corvia is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.

The ref stands the fighters back up because Sean Corvia just wasn't active enough.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Corvia looking to control but Lao is working nicely, looking to advance position himself.

Lao wants to clinch but Corvia slips to the side

and Corvia counters with a takedown into side control.
Lao is trying to escape and get back to his feet.
Corvia content to control the pace. The referee will try and keep them active though.
Lao is not content to let Corvia control the position.
You can see the frustration on Lao's face as Corvia controls the position.

Well, if Corvia is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.
We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.
Lao is looking for a sweep. Corvia is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Corvia is pausing for a moment. What's he doing? It looks like he's clearing his nose. Oh dude! He's shot a load of snot all down Lao's shoulder. That is not cool.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Lao wants to get back to his feet.

Corvia wants to free his trapped foot but Lao is holding on for dear life with his legs.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Corvia trying to control from Lao's half guard. Lao has other ideas though and has regained full guard.

Lao looking to sweep using the butterfly guard but Corvia puts pay to that idea as he passes nicely into half guard.
Sean Corvia overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

Lao wants to improve his position but Corvia is controlling well.

and Corvia counters with a nice double leg into side control. Lao won't be happy with that.

Lao is in close to Corvia's body, working some short punches and elbows.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Corvia fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Lao avoids it really well and circles away.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Lao wants to clinch up but Corvia keeps it at a distance.
Corvia swats away the attempt to clinch by Lao.

Well I reckon that's a shut out for Corvia, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
