Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Dan Hardy (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Pierre La Plante (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Yves DeLean, Robert Douchet and Ian Loll.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
La Plante has taken the fight to the clinch.
Hardy lands a nice trip takedown into half guard.

The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Hardy connects with a nice short shot to La Plante's temple.

Hardy is looking to take a break and control but La Plante is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

La Plante escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Hardy gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Hardy is in close to La Plante's body, working some short punches and elbows.
La Plante is looking for a triangle but Hardy pushes his legs off easily.
Hardy knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for La Plante on the ground.

La Plante bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Hardy's guard.

La Plante throws a strike but Hardy rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.
Hardy won't allow La Plante to get back to his feet.

Hardy is trying to tuck his arms in to keep them safe but La Plante has managed to isolate one of them and has got a loose triangle. Hardy is looking to defend but La Plante has done well to lock his legs together - this could be big trouble for Hardy! La Plante pulls down on the head and a little smile comes across his face - he knows he's got it. Yep, Hardy taps out and this one is all over!
