Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Bono Estente (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jason Hardwick (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Hardwick has chosen Elephant Man - Pon Di River as his entrance music. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The judges for this bout are Patrick Alders, Albert Achterberg and Saam Ante.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hardwick shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Estente but Estente pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Hardwick will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Hardwick is defended easily by Estente.
Bono Estente has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jason Hardwick.
Ouch! a nice leg kick from Estente, right into the meat.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Estente shoots in looking for a takedown. Hardwick tries to sprawl out of it but Estente keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Hardwick manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

and Estente counters with a nice low kick that buckles Hardwick's knee momentarily.
Hardwick on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those.
Estente misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.

A slapping leg kick lands for Estente.

Estente throws a head kick but Hardwick moves out of range.
Estente cracks the inside of Hardwick's front leg.
Bono Estente seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Hardwick wants to clinch but Estente slips to the side
and Estente counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Hardwick shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Estente as he jumps to the side.

Hardwick stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Hardwick wants it to stay on the feet.

Hardwick with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Estente to score with a decent uppercut.

Estente connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Hardwick's hands.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Estente throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Hardwick sees it coming and avoids it easily.

Hardwick takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh.

Hardwick takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him.
Estente lands a glancing blow to the side of Hardwick's head.

Thud! ouch! good body kick from Estente - that will leave a mark!
Hardwick's leg has a nasty welt from taking a succession of leg kicks. That must be slowing him down.
Estente keeps Hardwick at a distance using the push kick.
Hardwick is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.
Estente delivers a nice body kick.
Estente is looking to slow Hardwick down with leg kicks.
Estente throws the kick towards the body but Hardwick avoids it.
Both these guys seem content to just stand up and trade with eachother but Hardwick might want to think about changing up his gameplan a bit because over the course of the fight, Estente has got the better of the exchanges.

Hardwick dives in and grabs Estente's left leg, looking for a takedown. Estente pushes down on Hardwick's head and hops out.

Estente lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin.
Hardwick takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Hardwick walks into a left hand.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

That's time! Estente's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. Ladies and gentlemen, this is the final round!
Hardwick has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Hardwick there as he acknowledges the shot.

Hardwick shoots in for a takedown but Estente shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Estente bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Hardwick's head.

and Estente counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Hardwick thinking.
Hardwick takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
Estente tries to land a front kick but Hardwick steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed.
Hardwick has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Estente finds it's way round the side to connect with Hardwick's head.

Estente shoots in for a takedown but Hardwick shows good takedown defense.
Estente tests Hardwick's chin there with a solid looking shot.
Estente swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Estente lands a leg kick that knocks Hardwick off balance momentarily.

Estente turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick.
Hardwick is looking to clinch but Estente is avoiding it.
