Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Ajo Koira (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Will Sams (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jab, jab by Koira - just one landing.
Koira lands a lovely overhand right.

Sams jumps guard and drags Koira to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back.

Sams rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Koira moves out of range and avoids them all easily.

Koira is using his height advantage well here, landing a good percentage of his punches.

It looks like Will Sams has been cut.
Koira throws a hook to the body. More of an arm punch but it's all scoring with the judges.
Koira breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.

Sams gets cracked there but stands up to it.
Sams closes the distance and clinches.
Sams wants to get back to striking at distance but Koira won't allow it.
Koira lands a hook to the body. It's hard to tell if that hurt Sams or not.

Sams takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.

Sams takes a body punch but keeps moving.
Sams looks up at the clock. Bad move! Koira lands a right hand from hell, dropping Sams. Koira pounces and finishes the fight with a flurry of punches and elbows.
