Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
4 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Great Dane!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
3 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Jason Cabana!
The judges for this bout are Damien Edna, Bruno Hogan and Hugh Johnson.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Cabana misses with a takedown
and Dane counters with a right hand to the body.
Dane ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent.
Dane fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done.
Dane cracks a nice hook into Cabana's ribs.
Dane looks to score with a jab to the body but Cabana is just out of range.
Cabana darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.
Dane is in trouble now - Cabana has advanced to mount!
Dane is looking to improve his position but Cabana isn't that keen on the idea.
Cabana throwing sloppy strikes, which aren't doing any damage.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Dane tries to lock up and control but Cabana gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.
Cabana throws an elbow from mount that misses. Lucky escape for Dane because Cabana loaded up on that one.
Cabana looking for an armbar but decides to keep the dominant position instead.
Dane bucks Cabana off and manages to get back to his feet!
Great Dane is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Dane thuds his right hand into Cabana's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters.
It looks like Jason Cabana has been cut.
Cabana moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross.
Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Dane, as that shot connected.
Cabana shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Cabana showed some decent athleticism there.
Dane tries to get to full guard but Cabana has control of the leg.
Dane pushes Cabana off and gets back to his feet.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
Cabana misses with a takedown attempt
and Dane counters with a right hand to the body.
Cabana looks gassed!
Cabana is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Dane lands a nice shot to the body.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Cabana has his takedown stuffed
and Dane cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Cabana is rocked!
Great Dane has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jason Cabana.
Dane shakes his hands by his side, trying to relax. Cabana takes his eyes off the ball for a moment - Dane sees the opportunity and cracks him with a massive hook! Cabana bends double and collapses on top of himself - he's out! The crowd are going absolutely nuts! Wow, what a knockout!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:50 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Great Dane!
