Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Fred Smoot (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Aranha Silva (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Smoot comes to the cage accompanied by new York. Silva has chosen Axel Foley theme with a cool video of the Space Chimps!! as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Fred Smoot has the edge in experience - let's see if he can make that count tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
11 - 7 - 0, fighting out of New York, Fred Smoot!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Aranha Silva!
The judges for this bout are Dean Styles, Eddie Farnsworth and David Schapiro.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Smoot on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those.
Smoot looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.
Smoot is figuring out what he wants to do next.
Smoot is looking to advance position but Silva won't allow it.
Smoot trying to control the action but Silva is working from the bottom.
Smoot controlling the pace.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.
Silva wants to get back to full guard.
Smoot seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Silva does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Fred Smoot.
Smoot shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Silva's guard.
Smoot stands and throws Silva's legs to the side, diving into side control.
Smoot passes to full mount! That's big trouble for Silva!
That's one minute gone in the round.
BOOM! Smoot connects with a massive shot to the dome!
Smoot working for a submission but Silva is keeping him at bay.
Smoot with the ground and pound from mount.
Silva tries to reverse the position but Smoot maintains control.
Smoot connects with a couple of good shots from mount.
The referee warns Silva that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.
Silva is rocked!
Smoot looking to isolate an arm here. Silva doesn't see it coming and as Smoot extends the arm, he's forced to tap out! Nice submission by Smoot!
