The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Jackson darts in and clinches Pacquio up against the cage.

and Jackson counters with a head kick.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Pacquio tries to circle away but Jackson has him pinned against the cage.

Pacquio scores with a nice hook to the head.

and Jackson counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Jackson.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Jackson is trying to drag Pacquio to the mat but Pacquio just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.
Pacquio is pressed up against the cage. Jackson has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Pacquio down to the mat. Pacquio avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.
A head kick misses from Pacquio.
Jackson shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Pacquio but Pacquio pushes him off and we're back to square one.

That was a close round but I would say that Tim Jackson will probably get the nod.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Tim Jackson.

Pacquio really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Jackson. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Jackson has hold of Pacquio's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Pacquio manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.
Jackson lands an elbow that was bordering on illegal but the referee lets it go with a warning.

Pacquio throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Jackson stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.

Jackson throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Pacquio was covering up waiting for the punch and Jackson finishes the takedown easily into guard.
