The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Hinlares shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Patterson's guard.

Hinlares is trying to control the action in half guard but Patterson is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.

Hinlares is working hard to pass the guard. He's done it - he's now in full mount! Trouble for Patterson!

Hinlares is staying calm and holding on to the back position, whilst working on a rear naked choke. Patterson is defending well though. Hinlares let's go of the attempt for now.

Hinlares has the rear naked choke here! This is very bad for Patterson! Can he survive? No! He's out! Hinlares gets to his feet and celebrates with his cornermen. He looks absolutely delighted. In the post fight interviews he takes time to thank his parents and everyone who has believed in him from the start. How sweet.
