And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gonzales throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Hawk was covering up waiting for the punch and Gonzales finishes the takedown easily into guard.
Gonzales got a little sloppy there for a moment and Hawk has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Gonzales has managed to get both his arms back between Hawk's legs - danger averted.
Gonzales would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.
Hawk working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Gonzales doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Gonzales manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
Hawk is breathing heavily.
Gonzales avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Hawk looking for submissions from the bottom but instead Gonzales passes into side control.
Gonzales has hold of Hawk's arm here. He's working for an Americana. It looks like he might have it! Hawk tries to escape but he's just digging himself in deeper - Gonzales cranks the arm and Hawk screams in pain! The ref makes a decision and ends the fight before the tap - no complains from Hawk, who is just happy to have his arm attached to his body.
