The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Donavan lands a jab to the nose.
Jab by Donavan.
Gabriel ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Donavan moves away.
Gabriel throws a shot to the body.
Gabriel throws a sloppy head kick and Donavan moves out of range easily.
Donavan throws a body punch but Gabriel moves out of range.
Donavan misses with a combination
and Gabriel counters with a nice body shot.
Gabriel lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Gabriel misses the shot to the body.
Gabriel ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Donavan moves away.
Gideon Gabriel seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Donavan misses with a combination
and Gabriel counters with a head kick. That will keep Donavan thinking before he tries any more sloppy attacks!
Donavan is breathing heavily.
Gabriel fakes a jab and scores with a low kick.

Gabriel moves into the clinch successfully.

Gabriel's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.

Gabriel has taken the fight to the clinch.

Gabriel breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.

Gabriel lands a high kick to the side of Donavan's head that stuns him and send him tumbling down to the canvas! Gabriel dives into guard, looking to finish.

It looks like Scott Donavan has been cut.
Gabriel passes into half guard.
Gabriel lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt.

Gabriel is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Donavan has managed to free his arm - good work.
Donavan keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound.
Gabriel has freed up his trapped foot and advances to mount.
Donavan is bucking up trying to escape but Gabriel cracks him with another couple of good strikes.

Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Gabriel lands a nice shot to the head.
Donavan is in a horrible position here. Gabriel smacks him with another shot as he tries to escape the position.
Oooooh, big shot lands for Gabriel! Donavan is hurt baaadly! Gabriel is firing away with more strikes - Donavan is covering up... the ref is warning him to do something. He's just covering up though still and the ref has to step in to end the fight! This one is all over!
