Hammer drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Hammer jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.

Hammer is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.
Hammer has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

Hammer has gone for a leg lock! Hortz slips out almost immediately though and dives into Hammer's guard.

Hammer is working actively from the bottom, looking for submissions. He's escaped his hips to the side and he's going for an armbar! Hortz has his hands clasped together but Hammer extends an breaks Hortz's desperate grasp, forcing a tap out due to armbar! Nice BJJ displayed there by Hammer.
