Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Tota Lidel (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Yang Leiden (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Lidel might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Dry Kill Logic - Lost. I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that Yang Leiden was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 10 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Tota Lidel!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 16 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Yang Leiden!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lidel darts in and out, connecting with a jab.
Lidel misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Leiden.
Leiden finds nothing but air with that leg kick attempt.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Lidel misses with a hook. Leiden ducked under it nicely.
Lidel throws a body punch but Leiden moves out of range.

Leiden fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Lidel manages to avoid it.

Leiden tries to bum rush Lidel with a series of wild strikes but Lidel uses good footwork to avoid the assault.

Lidel throws a hook to the side of Leiden's head but Leiden sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Lidel drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles.
Lidel tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
A looping hook to the body misses from Lidel. Leiden does a little dance to reset his feet.

and Leiden counters with a straight punch to the midsection.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Lidel throws a right hand that misses
letting Leiden counter with a right hand.

Leiden gets caught flat footed, as Lidel shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Lidel controls from within his opponent's guard.
Leiden is trying to keep Lidel in close.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Leiden is on top in guard.

Leiden trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
Leiden wants to control from the top but Lidel keeps moving.
Leiden is fighting to break Lidel's control of his arms but Lidel is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
Leiden wants to clinch up but Lidel keeps it at a distance.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Leiden misses with a body shot.
Lidel misses with an uppercut
and Leiden counters with a lovely straight right hand!


It looks like Tota Lidel has been cut.
Lidel shoots for a double leg takedown but Leiden sprawls well. He's pushed Lidel's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Leiden scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.
Lidel fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Yang Leiden showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The cut man is working on Tota Lidel's cut.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. This is the final round!


Lidel throws a lazy uppercut
and Leiden counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Lidel takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.
Lidel gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily
and Leiden cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Leiden ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Lidel moves away.
Leiden cracks Lidel with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.

and Lidel connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Leiden rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and Lidel counters with a lovely shot to the body.
Leiden throws a lazy head kick
and Lidel counters with a two punch combo.
Lidel rushes in with a sloppy looking punch

so Leiden counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.
Leiden won't allow Lidel to sweep him here.
Leiden looking to sit in guard and control but Lidel gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.

Lidel gets to his feet. Leiden looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son!
Lidel takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.
Leiden moves to clinch but Lidel breaks away
enabling Lidel to counter with a crisp jab.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

and Leiden counters with a leg kick that reverborates around the arena.

and Lidel counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Lidel.
Lidel not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.
Lidel won't allow Leiden to sweep him here.

I would just about give that final round to Yang Leiden.
I think Leiden has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
