Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sapponen throws a jab when Vasa was well out of range.
Sapponen looks for the body kick but Vasa saw that one coming.
Sapponen takes a kick to the side of the head.

It looks like Hempii Sapponen has been cut.
Vasa looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Sapponen blocks a head kick by Vasa.
Vasa moves out of range of the leg kick from Sapponen.
Vasa avoids a kick to the body.
Sapponen misses with a body shot.

so Vasa counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Vasa accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

Sapponen wants to reverse the position here. Vasa has hold of a leg though and he's dropped back looking for a kneebar! The fighters roll across the mat but Sapponen is forced to tap! Sapponen looks devastated but at least his leg points in the right direction.
