Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Lukas Brantley (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Efrain Escudero (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Lukas Brantley!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Efrain Escudero!
The judges for this bout are Summer Carpenter, Skip Squint and Hugh Johnson.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Escudero throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
Some wild striking there from Brantley.
Escudero misses with the combination.

Brantley closes the distance and clinches.

Brantley drags the fight down to the ground.
Escudero trying to control but Brantley is working from the bottom.
Brantley avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.

Escudero drops back looking for a leg! Brantley is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Brantley manages to kick Escudero off! Escudero jumps back into Brantley's guard.
Brantley has control of Escudero's left arm, preventing Escudero from doing any damage.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Escudero is looking to work some ground and pound but Brantley has wrist control.

Brantley drives through and clinches with Escudero against the cage.
With the two fighters working up against the cage, Escudero just misses with a elbow thrown towards Brantley's brow.
Brantley tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.
Escudero misses with a shot to the kidneys.
Brantley misses with a knee strike.

Brantley blocks a knee to the body. He'll have a nicely bruised forearm in the morning.

Brantley gets control of Escudero's arms and successfully pulls guard. Brantley will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back.
Escuderois looking to pass into half guard but Brantley pushes him away with his feet and jumps on top - now Brantley is in guard.

Escudero misses with a low kick as Brantley jumps back.
Brantley throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Escudero's waist but Escudero gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Brantley off to one side.

and Brantley takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.

Brantley throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Brantley shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Escudero but Escudero pushes him off and we're back to square one.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

Brantley feints and as Escudero raises his hands in defense, Brantley changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.

We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.
Brantley sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Escudero's guard.
Brantley wants to stand up but Escudero is controlling the position.
Brantley is figuring out what he wants to do next.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Escudero throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.

Brantley lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Brantley.

Brantley feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Lukas Brantley showed his dominance in that final round.
Well Brantley has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
