Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Ramon Rivera!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
5 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Incubus Foo!
The judges for this bout are Donatello Bradman, Summer Carpenter and John Mangel.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rivera throws a lazy uppercut
and Foo counters with a thumping low kick.
Ramon Rivera seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Foo takes one to the side of the head.
Foo misses with an uppercut. Rivera saw that one coming.
Rivera misses with a hook
and Foo counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
It looks like Ramon Rivera has been cut.
Rivera throws a right hand that misses
enabling Foo to counter with a crisp jab.
Rivera misses with a shot to the body
and Foo counters with a nice body kick.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Rivera misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Foo.
Foo fails in his attempt to clinch.
Foo lands a nice hook to Rivera's body. Rivera takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.
Rivera is breathing heavily.
Rivera's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Foo connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Rivera scrambles back to his feet.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Foo wants to clinch up but Rivera keeps it at a distance.
Foo throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
Rivera chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Foo can pounce on him.
Rivera misses with a lunging right hand
and Foo counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body.
Foo lands with a cross.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Foo fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done.
Foo cracks Rivera with a big right hand that sends him to the floor! Rivera looks wobbly but he's sprung back up to his feet straight away… can Foo finish him?
Rivera is rocked!
Ramon Rivera's cut is getting worse.
Foo cracks Rivera with a left hook right on the temple and Rivera goes down! He's out! Referee! Stop the fight! Foo lands a few more punches before the dopey ref steps in - hopefully Rivera is OK!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:54 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Incubus Foo!
