Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Duane Dibbley (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Karl Veneracion (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Veneracion has chosen faint as his entrance music. Duane Dibbley had a look across the cage there at his opponent. He definitely means business

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 11 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Duane Dibbley!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 9 - 11 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Karl Veneracion!
The judges for this bout are Ren Mimura, Kenichi Hosakawa and Shirou Masuda.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Veneracion takes a body punch but keeps moving.
Dibbley lands with a hook. Veneracion tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head.
Veneracion tries for a takedown but Dibbley circles away easily
and Veneracion takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Dibbley misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Veneracion.

Veneracion thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.

You can see the frustration on Dibbley's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.

Veneracion is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Dibbley knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.

Veneracion tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Veneracion has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

Veneracion wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Dibbley, who protects the arm well.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.

Veneracion swings around for an armbar but Dibbley sees it coming a mile off and turns beautifully into Veneracion's guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.

Veneracion working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Dibbley doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Dibbley manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Veneracion drops back, looking for a kneebar! Dibbley looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Dibbley looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Dibbley!

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Dibbley is looking to wear down Veneracion with body shots, infact he's throwing more body shots than head shots at the moment.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Veneracion looks to be working for a triangle here. Oh, it looks like he might have it! Dibbley has picked Veneracion up and slammed him! Veneracion can't keep hold of the triangle and Dibbley manages to pass to side control!

I've got Veneracion winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
