Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Mike Wallace!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Eric Jr!
The judges for this bout are Stewart Dunkirk, Frank Dennis and Alan Glass.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jr throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Wallace's waist but Wallace gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Jr off to one side.
Wallace lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw.
Jr tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.

and Wallace counters with a nice double leg into half guard.

Jr looking to force a kimura from the bottom here. He's concentrating on that move too much though and Wallace pushes past his half guard into mount!

Wallace jumps to side control looking for an arm triangle but Jr manages to avoid the submission attempt.
Jr is looking to slip a leg under and get half guard but Wallace is one step ahead and moves to full mount!
Wallace tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.

Jr is trying desperately to improve position.
Wallace controlling the position easily from mount.
Jr is wriggling around trying to escape.

Jr really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Wallace. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Jr is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.

Wallace is in full mount, looking to secure a guillotine but Jr is surviving well by controlling Wallace's body position as best he can.
Jr tries to reverse the position but Wallace maintains control.

Jr gets back to half guard.
Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Wallace in particular looking to stall.

Jr tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Wallace paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Jr stuffs the takedown attempt from Wallace. Wallace gets slowly back to his feet.
Jr throws a wild body kick that Wallace sees coming a mile off.
Jr throws a low kick, looking for Wallace's leg but Wallace calmly moves out of range.
Jr is looking to clinch but Wallace is avoiding it.
Wallace jabs Jr to the body, keeping him at a distance.
Some bone on bone action there as Wallace checks a low kick. Luckily it wasn't a particularly hard one.
Jr moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross.
Jr tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Jr uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Wallace.

Wallace moves into the clinch successfully.
Wallace lands with a light punch inside.

Wallace's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Jr shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Wallace but Wallace pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Wallace throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Wallace shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Wallace lands a jab.
Jr lands a body shot.

Wallace avoids a kick to the body.
Jr moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross.
Jr is looking to clinch but Wallace is avoiding it.

Jr closes the distance and pushes Wallace back into the cage.
Both fighters working to control the clinch.
Jr misses with the head strike.
Jr throws a punch but it's blocked by Wallace.
Jr tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Wallace just stands there and leans against the cage.
Jr throws a head punch that misses.
Wallace lands a hook to the body. It's hard to tell if that hurt Jr or not.
Wallace wants a takedown but no success here.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Mike Wallace. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Jr pulls guard successfully.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Jr is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Wallace is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.

Jr looking for submissions from the bottom but instead Wallace passes into side control.

Jr is trying to get back to half guard.

Jr seems a little lost for a moment, as Wallace dominates the positioning.
Jr manages to work his way to half guard, despite Wallace's best efforts.
Wallace takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.

Jr is desperately trying to get back to half guard.

Wallace controlling the position easily from mount.

Wallace is controlling this nicely and is looking to make no mistakes. Jr is trying to wiggle out of this horrible position. Jr flips to his side and attempts to get a leg in for half guard. Wallace anticipates the leg and manages to get behind Jr and secures both hooks! This could be bad! Wallace slips an arm under Jr chin and tries to position for a rear naked choke. Wallace has worked the choke in now and it looks tight. Wallace is squeezing on Jr like an anaconda would it's prey. Jr fails to tap and has fallen unconscious! We've got ourselves a winner by way of a rear naked choke!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:57 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (RNC). Mike Wallace!
