Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between The Boss (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ryuzo Fukiko (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Ryuzo Fukiko is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, The Boss!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 10 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Ryuzo Fukiko!
The judges for this bout are William Peck, Steve Smith and Ian Loll.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Fukiko getting the better of the striking in that exchange.


It looks like The Boss has been cut.
Fukiko doesn't manage to clinch there - Boss circles away.
Fukiko catches Boss with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong!

Boss needs to keep his hands up - Fukiko had a free shot at his head there.
Fukiko dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
Left hook, right uppercut from Fukiko.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Boss drops his hands momentarily and Fukiko takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head.
Fukiko moving in and out of range nicely, whilst landing the scoring shot.
Fukiko scores with a one two! Boss had his feet all tangled up there and couldn't avoid the strikes.

Fukiko throws a left that rocks Boss and follows with a right that sends him tumbling to the canvas! Fukiko dives into side control, looking to finish! Can Boss regain composure!

Fukiko is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Boss has escaped the position, nice work there.
Boss tries to improve position but can't.

Fukiko wants to control but Boss is keeping him busy.

Fukiko is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Boss knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.

Fukiko is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Boss is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.

Boss is trying to get back to half guard. He's pushing on Fukiko's leg. He's managed it. Nice work.
Boss tries to roll over but Fukiko keeps him under control.
Fukiko is pressing down on Boss's thigh, looking to free his foot. Boss is holding on for now.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

Fukiko seems to be working for a kimura but Boss defends the submission attempt.
Boss is trying to maintain the position but Fukiko is very close to passing his half guard.
Boss makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Boss.
Fukiko's corner is telling him to maintain position.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Boss utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
Boss is trying to keep Fukiko in close.

Fukiko gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The cut man is working on The Boss's cut.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!


Boss takes one on the chin but keeps coming.

Fukiko throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Boss was covering up waiting for the punch and Fukiko finishes the takedown easily into guard.
Fukiko throws a strike but Boss rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Fukiko trying to keep a closed guard but Boss is proving a slippery customer.
Boss is looking to work some ground and pound but Fukiko has wrist control.
Boss trying to control the position from guard on top but Fukiko is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Fukiko is on top in guard.

Boss trying to keep a closed guard but Fukiko is proving a slippery customer.
Fukiko missing there with some ground and pound from the guard.
Boss is trying to control the position from the bottom.

Fukiko drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Fukiko jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Fukiko won't allow Boss to sweep him here.
Fukiko pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Boss is keeping the position for now.

Fukiko drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Boss dives on top into guard.
Boss lands a couple of decent looking shots.
Fukiko tries to land a sweep but no joy.
Boss wants to control from the top but Fukiko keeps moving.
Boss postures up in Fukiko's guard and throws a big left but Fukiko blocks it.
Boss postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
Hammerfist, elbow! yells Boss's corner. There ya go! There ya go!
Boss tries to free his leg and advance position but Fukiko is retaining full guard.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Fukiko is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Fukiko is trying to control the position but Boss postures up.
Fukiko lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Boss!
Fukiko thuds his fist into the canvas! Oooouch!
Boss in a bad spot here, taking shots to the head.


The Boss's cut is bleeding quite badly. He's got to try and protect it.

The referee calls the doctor in to look at The Boss's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:03 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Cut). Ryuzo Fukiko!
