Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 9 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Blaine Stone!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 21 - 11 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Sid Bristol!
The judges for this bout are Steve Erwin, Damien Edna and Summer Carpenter.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bristol bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Stone's head backwards.
Both fighters circling a little - Bristol finishes the exchange with a kick to the body.
Bristol moves out of range as Stone strikes.
Bristol rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Stone moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Danga de danga de dang - Bristol scores with a four punch combination!
Bristol misses with an uppercut
and Stone counters with a lovely straight right hand!
Bristol scores to the head and body with a nice combination!
Sid Bristol seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Bristol throws a series of strikes that have Stone backpedaling.
Bristol throws the left hand but Stone avoids the punch easily.
Bristol connects with the punch.

Stone closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
Stone is chipping away with strikes.
Stone postures up a little and throws a couple of hammerfists but they don't connect properly.
Bristol taking punishment in the form of punches.
An elbow from Stone crashes against the mat.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Stone trying to control the position but Bristol is working away.
Stone working the ground and pound from side control.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Stone is trying to get an arm triangle but Bristol is defending well.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Stone fails to land a wild elbow strike.

Stone is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Bristol has escaped the position, nice work there.
The strikes coming from Stone are missing the target in this wave of attacks.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Bristol is trying to control Stone's posture but Stone avoids it.
Stone creates a bit of distance and throws down some hard shots.
You can see the frustration on Bristol's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
Stone grinds an elbow into Bristol's temple.
Bristol dodges the ground and pound from Stone.
Bristol taking punishment in the form of punches.

Stone is working to tighten is grip on Bristol's neck. He's isolated an arm and is working for an arm triangle. Bristol has recognised the danger and is trying to turn with the submission but Stone is really squeezing tight and eventually Bristol passes out! Stone breaks the hold and jumps onto the cage to celebrate! Submission of the night, I'd say!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:04 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Arm Triangle). Blaine Stone!
