Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Andreas Webster (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Aaron Windham (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 9 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Andreas Webster!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Aaron Windham!
The judges for this bout are Steve Erwin, Donatello Bradman and Damien Edna.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Windham shoots in but doesn't get the takedown

and Webster counters with a shoot takedown. Windham fights it but they end up in guard.
Windham wants to sweep here but Webster controlling him for the moment.

Webster is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Windham is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Windham has escaped and now he's on top!

Webster jumps to the side looking to secure the arm triangle…. Ooooh, that looks tight… Windham is gargling but he's managed to escape! Nice work there by Windham and Webster has given up the dominant position trying to land that submission.
Webster will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Windham is looking for a sweep.

Webster is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Windham knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.

Windham kicks off Webster and gets to his feet.

Windham shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Webster's guard.
Windham stays in close to Webster's body and controls the position.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close round but Aaron Windham will probably get the nod.
That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.



Windham closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Webster did well to prevent Windham getting side control.
Webster is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.

Windham slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.
Webster is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.
Windham controls the pace of the fight for a moment.

OK we're going to have a standup here. Aaron Windham hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart.
Webster has his takedown stuffed

so Windham counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.

Webster working for submissions but it's allowed Windham to get to half guard.
Windham is figuring out what he wants to do next.
Webster has a hand on Windham's thigh, trying to get back to full guard. Windham takes advantage of the position though and mounts him!
Webster tries to reverse the position but Windham maintains control.

Windham takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.
Let's hope that Windham has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.

and Windham counters with a shoot takedown. Webster fights it but they end up in guard.

Aaron Windham showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! This is the final round!

Webster is working for submissions here. He's thrown up his legs looking for a tringle but Windham frees his head nicely. Oh but Webster has switched to an armbar! Windham is tapping furiously! Lovely submission there!
