Vera avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
Adams throws out a loose jab but Vera uses good head movement to avoid it.

Vera moves into the clinch successfully.
Vera misses with a knee to the head.
Vera tries a knee to the head but he's missed.
Vera with the Thai clinch. He's looking to land a big knee but he's not managed it this time.

Oooh a lovely combination from Adams sends Vera down but not out. Adams dives into side control looking to finish.

It looks like Christian Vera has been cut.
Adams creates some space and throws a big elbow, but Vera sees it coming and moves his head just enough to avoid the strike.
Adams fails to land a wild elbow strike.
Adams looking to punish the body of his opponent here but Vera is avoiding damage well.
Adams works to advance to full mount. Vera defends for a few seconds but eventually he succumbs.
Adams pausing momentarily but resumes with a couple of decent strikes that do a bit of damage.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
