The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Mir darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.
Pesci manages to get to full guard.
Pesci can't keep his opponent in guard - Mir advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount.
Pesci is pressing down on Mir's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it.

Mir got a little sloppy there for a moment and Pesci has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Mir has managed to get both his arms back between Pesci's legs - danger averted.
Pesci manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!
Pesci punching from mount but Mir doing a good job of avoiding damage.

Mir defends a decent attempt at a guillotine from Pesci.
Poor strikes thrown by Pesci there. More accuracy and less frantic strikes would help!

Pesci tries to control but Mir wriggling away.

Pesci is looking to secure an arm. He's managed it! He's pivoting for an armbar - that looks tight! But Mir has managed to get out of it and now he's in a dominant position. Nice work from Mir!

Pesci escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Mir gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Mir sitting in guard doing not very much at all here. Pesci doesn't need a second invitation though! He's locked up a guillotine and he's squeezing tight! That is tiiiiiiiiight! Mir paying the price for stalling here - he's pushing hard on the arm trying to free himself but it's no use! He's tapped! WOW, quick submission from Pesci - great work!
