Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Dominick Cruz (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ivan Druzhinin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The crowd seem to be enjoying Druzhinin's choice of entrance music: Kevin Rudolf - In the city. Ivan Druzhinin has the power to score a knockout today if he connects clean with Dominick Cruz's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Trevor Gratis, Robert Douchet and Ian Loll.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Druzhinin closes the distance looking to clinch
and Cruz cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Druzhinin tries to clinch up
and Cruz counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Druzhinin has managed to clinch.
Druzhinin drops down looking for an ankle pick but Cruz pulls his leg out and moves away.
Cruz looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Cruz misses with a combination
and Druzhinin counters by moving into the clinch.
Cruz pulls guard successfully.
Cruz pulls Druzhinin in close to his closed guard and prevents Druzhinin from doing any damage or advancing position.
Druzhinin pushes down on Cruz's leg and manages to get into half guard.
Cruz manages to get to full guard.

Cruz looking to hit a scissor sweep but Druzhinin is one step ahead there.
Druzhinin wants to get up but he can't break Cruz's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.
Cruz has Druzhinin pulled in close to control his posture.
Druzhinin working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.
Cruz manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Cruz tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.
Druzhinin is desperately trying to improve his position but Cruz has a good base and remains in mount.
Cruz has control of Druzhinin's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Druzhinin regains control of the situation pretty easily.
Druzhinin is trying to get back to his feet but can't.
The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.
Cruz is still in mount, landing shots to his trapped opponent. Druzhinin can't stay in a position like this for much longer.

Cruz seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Druzhinin for as long as he can get away with.
