Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between New Knox (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Chris Stewart (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Shigeki Sano, Yuuki Gou and Yasuomi Hirokawa.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Knox misses with a head kick.
A head kick misses from Knox.
Knox throws a lazy head kick
enabling Stewart to counter with a crisp jab.
Knox throws a head kick that misses.
Stewart thows a body shot but no joy.
Knox throws a head kick that misses.
Knox misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Stewart leaves Knox with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Knox bobs and weaves and then throws a good body kick.

and Stewart counters with a left to the body.

Knox throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Stewart was covering up waiting for the punch and Knox finishes the takedown easily into guard.

Knox postures up in Stewart's guard and throws a big left but Stewart blocks it.

Knox connects with a couple of short punches.
Knox postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Stewart can do anything to dispel that myth.
Knox throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Stewart works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
Stewart really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Knox. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Knox advances position into side control!
Knox tries to score with some ground and pound. Stewart controls his posture well this time though and the shots don't do any damage.

Knox is working to tighten is grip on Stewart's neck. He's isolated an arm and is working for an arm triangle. Stewart has recognised the danger and is trying to turn with the submission but Knox is really squeezing tight and eventually Stewart passes out! Knox breaks the hold and jumps onto the cage to celebrate! Submission of the night, I'd say!
