The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Hobbs gets in close and instigates a clinch.
Hobbs has Rose pressed against the cage, preventing Rose from circling away and getting back to striking at range.
Hobbs works on Rose's body with a couple of short punches.
Hobbs lands a body shot.
A quick uppercut on the inside from Hobbs.
Rose really is a fat lump.
Rose tries to circle away but Hobbs has him pinned against the cage.
Rose looking to slow down the pace here.
Hobbs lands punches inside but they're not really causing much damage.
Hobbs scores with an uppercut up the middle.
A short left from Hobbs.
A nice right hand lands inside from Hobbs.
Hobbs will no doubt start fighting again in a minute but for now he's just having a little rest, leaning Rose up against the cage.
Hobbs working some nice short punches in the clinch.
Hobbs lands a shoulder strike.
A short right from Hobbs.
Hobbs lands a left hand that snaps the head of Rose backwards.
Hobbs presses Rose against the cage and delivers a mid-strength body shot.
Rose is breathing heavily.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Rose wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Hobbs has him pressed against the cage.
Hobbs working some nice short punches in the clinch.
Hobbs lands with a light punch inside.
Hobbs lands a body shot in the clinch.
Rose is looking to break free of the clinch but Hobbs has double underhooks.
Hobbs lands a hook to the body. It's hard to tell if that hurt Rose or not.

Hobbs escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Hobbs throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.

That's one minute gone in the round.

Hobbs drops Rose with a hook right on the temple. He thinks about going to the ground but Rose looks back up at him and smiles so Hobbs waves him back to his feet - he obviously thinks he can knock him out after that shot landed.

Rose is rocked!

It looks like George Rose has been cut.
Rose walks right into a perfectly timed right hook and goes down hard! He's out cold! The ref cradles Rose limp body while Hobbs jumps on to the cage and waves to the roaring crowd. Wow that was just a brutal knockout!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:12 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Luke Hobbs!
