Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are David Schapiro, Russell Pearce and Eddie Farnsworth.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Comrade scores with a nice head shot.
Comrade misses with a lunging right hand
letting Bateman counter with a right hand.
Bateman slips a straight right by Comrade.
Comrade throws a left and a right that both miss
and Comrade takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Bateman blocks a jab.
Comrade fails with an attempt to clinch.
Comrade jabs Bateman to the body, keeping him at a distance.
Bateman staying out of range there.
Bateman tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Comrade swivels and escapes.
Comrade dodges the punch combination from Bateman.
Bateman takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming.
Bateman takes a punch to the jaw and another one to the bread basket.
Bateman shoots in and drives through. Comrade sprawls well.
Comrade rushes in with a sloppy looking punch

and Bateman counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Comrade!
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Comrade is squirming around, avoiding Bateman's attempts to control the action.
The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Bateman cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!

Bateman wants to control the pace but Comrade is squirming around nicely.
Bateman tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.
Comrade holding onto his opponent's waist for dear life, as Bateman tries to land some strikes to get him to release his grip.
Poor strikes thrown by Bateman there. More accuracy and less frantic strikes would help!
Comrade is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.

Bateman has hold of an arm here, looking to extend it. He's committed to the armbar attempt here! Will he get it?! Yes! Comrade is forced to tap!
