Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Chris Porter!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Tapp Sum Bong!
The judges for this bout are Emerson Jorge, Edson Gomes and Daniel Cesar.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Porter closes the distance and clinches up with Bong, looking for a takedown. Porter pushes Bong against the cage but Bong circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Porter tries to close the distance and clinch but Bong swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Porter looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Bong is fending him off so far but Porter persists. Nope, Bong circles away and we're back to standing.
Bong stuffs the takedown attempt from Porter. Porter gets slowly back to his feet.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Chris Porter. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Porter shoots in but Bong avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Porter shoots for a double leg takedown but Bong sprawls well. He's pushed Porter's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Porter misses with a takedown attempt - Bong sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Porter changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Bong tries to avoid it but Porter manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Bong to the ground. Bong escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Porter shoots in but no luck this time.
Porter gets the takedown into side control.
Bong is trying to improve his position.
Porter looks up at the clock and then as Bong takes his cue and looks up at the clock too, Porter smacks him right in the chops with a big elbow! How rude!
Porter is breathing heavily.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Bong is working hard to escape and get back to his feet. After a battle for position, Porter asserts his dominance and retains side control.
Porter wants to lay and pray for a moment but Bong keeps working.
Porter working away.
Porter tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Porter has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

Bong is working hard to escape and get back to his feet. After a battle for position, Porter asserts his dominance and retains side control.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Porter with the ground and pound but Bong regains half guard under the barage of strikes.
Bong moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Bong is on top in guard.
Porter has thrown up a leg looking for a triangle. Bong doesn't defend quickly enough and Porter has managed to lock this one up! Can Bong escape?! NO! He's tapping out! Damn, that was a quick submission - congrats to Porter on a fantastic submission victory.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:55 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Triangle). Chris Porter!
